The Sinking City 2 Gameplay
The Sinking City 2 is an action-adventure horror game where players must navigate and fight their way through the flooded streets of what was once Arkham City. Like its predecessor, the game blends investigative gameplay with fast-paced, gun-based combat against the city's many eldritch horrors.
Players take on the role of a survivor trying to uncover the truth behind Arkham’s downfall. Armed with period-accurate firearms and knowledge of the occult, they must rely on ingenuity, reflexes, and mental resilience to survive the horrors lurking in the city’s ruins.
Bigger and More Immersive
The Sinking City 2 is a semi-open-world game that allows players to explore large sections of a half-submerged Arkham, traveling on foot or by boat. Designed with a focus on environmental storytelling, the city carries an abandoned and unsettling atmosphere, where silence has replaced the once-bustling streets. With a larger and more immersive world than its predecessor, the game aims to deepen the player's experience of its eerie, decaying setting in through the unmatched power and fidelity of Unreal Engine 5.
Revamped Combat Against Eldritch Horrors
The Sinking City 2 features a completely rebuilt combat system designed to provide a more dynamic and varied experience compared to its predecessor. Moving beyond simple shooting and backtracking, the game introduces a range of period-accurate firearms and a diverse set of enemies, each requiring different strategies to defeat. Some enemies have specific weak points that reward precise aiming to conserve ammunition, while others rely on speed and evasive tactics, forcing players to react quickly.
Complementing these mechanics is a work-in-progress wounds and injuries system, offering a visual representation of enemy damage without the need for health bars.

Expanding on The Sinking City 2’s core gameplay, the investigation system has been redesigned to offer players multiple approaches to uncovering the mysteries of Arkham.
