Super Farming Boy Gameplay
Slowly build up your farm back to the way it was before, and buy your different farming related superpowers back using the profits that you earn day by day. While the game is primarily a farming simulator, the way you harvest crops and maximize your profit is unique in the sense that it plays like a puzzle game.
Optimize the placement of your crops and your stamina usage to maximize your profits! Battle with wacky weather and weird seasonal changes, like Radioactive Season, Timewarp Season, and more. The game has been designed with touch controls in mind and other controller setups to make the game’s controls intuitive to learn and use.
Super Farming Boy Release Date
Super Farming Boy is available for wishlist only on PC (Steam, Epic Games). While the game has yet to announce an actual or tentative release date, the devs have listed that the game will be released on Q2 2025 for Early Access on PC (Steam, Epic Games) on their press kit. Additionally, the devs also mentioned that the game is planned to be released on all major consoles and mobile platforms as well.
Super Farming Boy Review (Demo)
A Farming Sim You've Never Seen Before!
Initially, it was the visuals of the game that stood out to me as the main attraction that compelled me to play the game. It has that classic cartoon style with its vibrant colors and wonderful character designs that are present in the game. Other than the eye-popping visuals, the game presents itself as a casual farming simulator, which is right up my alley since I was never really great at creating efficient farms.
It starts off immediately, where you take control of the main character, Super, as you tend your farm by picking up the different crops in his home garden. Almost immediately as well, you are visited by KORPO®©TM who taxes your farm and even captures your mom and friends in the process just so he can fatten his purse. Now you’re left to fend for yourself, powerless and cropless, as KORPO®©TM leaves your garden in ruins.
The story is set up really well, and it immediately captured my attention in mere minutes of gameplay. The only problem I have with it right now is that it doesn’t really have a tutorial other than the floating text telling you how to pick things up and interact with certain tools. This is something that I think should be improved upon, since I actually didn’t realize that I was already in the game’s actual gameplay loop.
The game’s loop is pretty easy to follow; you have a limited amount of stamina dedicated to fixing up your farm or harvesting and cultivating your crops. The farming game is also quite simple to understand, as you have to place your crops efficiently to take advantage of being able to harvest them in combos. Proper placement of crops and management of your stamina will be the keys to maximizing your profits for the day, which then ends with you going to sleep in your bed.
At the end of each day, you will be visited by KORPO®©TM who will collect your harvest and reward you with gold based on how much you give him. Additionally, you can spend your hard-earned money to buy your powers back and other enhancements, so you can eventually buy your mom and friends back from him. It’s a rather simple loop with huge potential for people who love to minmax since the game also has a day and night cycle, which makes certain crops grow during that time.
Overall, Super Farming Boy is a game with huge potential for farming sim lovers and those who are interested in its eye-popping visuals. It’s a simple game that gets you hooked early and will keep you coming back for its intuitive controls and engaging gameplay loop.
