SHUTEN ORDER Gameplay
SHUTEN ORDER features a highly innovative, multi-genre adventure experience centered around a four-day time limit for protagonist Rei Shimobe to solve their own murder and prevent a global apocalypse. It involves investigating five ministerial suspects, with each investigation changing the game into a different genre.
Players will go through a Mystery Adventure with investigations and deductions, an Extreme Escape Adventure featuring 3D mazes and puzzles, a Multi-Perspective Visual Novel with branching storylines, a Romance Adventure focused on character affection to unmask a poisoner, or a Stealth Action Horror segment requiring evasion from a terrifying killer.
These constantly shifting mechanics require adaptable strategies and highlight various character abilities, ensuring a fresh and challenging experience as players race against the clock to solve the ultimate mystery and unlock the game's final chapter.
SHUTEN ORDER Story Plot
SHUTEN ORDER takes place in a world on the brink of collapse, threatened by the Shuten Order. This rapidly growing religious organization actively seeks humanity's demise and has established its nation. The story begins when the Order's revered Founder is mysteriously murdered.
From this event, the protagonist, Rei Shimobe, awakens with a severe case of amnesia, learning from two self-proclaimed "angels" that they are, in fact, the resurrected Founder. However, this resurrection is incomplete, leaving Rei with no memories and a grim prognosis: only four days to live.
To achieve true, lasting resurrection and, by extension, influence the fate of the world, Rei must undergo "God's trial" – a desperate race against time to unmask and eliminate their own killer. The primary suspects in this dire quest are the five powerful ministers who govern the Shuten Order, forcing Rei into a dangerous investigation where every step could determine not only their survival but the destiny of all existence.
