PATAPON 1+2 REPLAY Gameplay
PATAPON 1+2 REPLAY is a unique mix of strategy and rhythm game where you take on the role of commanding Patapons. These are cute, round, tribalistic creatures that seek to sail to Earthend to gaze upon "IT". Various enemies, however, always get in their way, forcing the Patapons into battle.
Commands in Patapon are issued via a combination of drum beats in any combination of Pata(←), Pon(→), Don(↓), Chaka(↑). These give the signal for the Patapons to advance, retreat, attack, and other combat-related actions. However, if the player inputs a command they can’t recognize or goes off rhythm, the Patapons will stop their actions in confusion.
If the player is able to chain enough valid commands without going off rhythm, the Patapons can enter a state of Fever, causing them to gain bonuses to their attack and defense values.
PATAPON 1+2 REPLAY Story Plot
PATAPON 1+2 REPLAY is set in a world where the Patapon, a tiny but fearless tribe, march to the beat of sacred war drums in search of Earthend, a legendary paradise said to hold the source of all things—"IT". Once mighty people who conquered most of the world, they were cast out of their homeland and forced to wander, surviving in the harsh wilderness while fighting off rival tribes, beasts, and powerful foes that stood in their way. As the Mighty One holding the Holy Drum, you must take command of the Patapons and guide them towards another glorious future.
