Outcast - A New Beginning Story Plot
The story of Outcast - A New Beginning follows the journey of Cutter Slade, an ex-Navy SEAL and the longtime protagonist of the Outcast series. This time he’ll be cutting through the rainforests of Adelpha, an alien planet that’s home to the spiritual Talan race. This isn’t an invasion mission, however, as a lack of memory for his prime directive and a subsequent branding by the Yods (the Talan gods) would soon prove Cutter a savior of Adelpha.
Outcast - A New Beginning Gameplay
Gameplay footage of Outcast - A New Beginning indicates that the game’s main gameplay loop will consist of ranged firefights, dynamic movement, and vertical exploration. Adelpha’s alien environment and architecture will be front and center, as Cutter will be forced to go through and adapt to both to progress.
There also seems to be a Mass Effect-style dialogue option wheel present in some of the game’s cutscenes, although the true extent of the player’s decisions is currently unclear. In addition to all that, Cutter’s weaponry and gadgets can be upgraded by weapon mods that can be purchased from Talan shopkeepers or unlocked as the story progresses.
