Everything We Know About Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition

Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition Story Plot

Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition doesn’t have a strict in-game narrative, but the goal is to become the ‘Nintendo World Championship’ from the esports events it’s based off of. Accomplish records and beat challenges contained in the game across over a dozen NES games and become in league with the top Nintendo World Championship participants!

Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition Gameplay

Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition is a compilation of over 150+ challenges across 13 NES games. It’s basically a series of ‘mini-games’ within those games to achieve specific conditions to win. An example would be to absorb the super mushroom as quickly as possible in Super Mario, or fastest to defeat all enemies on the screen in The Legend of Zelda.

The 13 games the challenges will take place in are the following:
 ⚫︎ Super Mario Bros.
 ⚫︎ Super Mario Bros. 2
 ⚫︎ Super Mario Bros. 3
⚫︎ Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels
 ⚫︎ The Legend of Zelda
 ⚫︎ The Adventure of Link
 ⚫︎ Metroid
 ⚫︎ The Original Donkey Kong
 ⚫︎ Kirby’s Adventure
 ⚫︎ Ice Climber
 ⚫︎ Kid Icarus
 ⚫︎ Balloon Fight
 ⚫︎ Excitebike

The game will also have local multiplayer capabilities where up to 8 players can participate in challenges together and see who can accomplish them the fastest!
