Everything We Know About Mars Attracts

Mars Attracts Story Plot

Image

Mars Attracts takes place in the hilariously grotesque world of the cult-classic 1996 film Mars Attacks!, where Martians invade Earth with one goal: abducting humans. This time, they're still at it—but now they're rounding up people from across history to populate a brand-new Martian amusement park and zoo. As the park fills with diverse human exhibits, eager Martian crowds line up to see the latest attractions, try out the rides, and meet their abducted Earthlings. Players are in for a Martian management experience like no other, balancing the chaos of running a truly out-of-this-world theme park!

Mars Attracts Gameplay

Not much has been revealed about Mars Attracts’ gameplay, but the official trailer and Steam page suggest it will resemble classic amusement park management simulators like RollerCoaster Tycoon and Planet Coaster. In this bizarre twist, players will abduct humans from various points in history—whether it's cowboys, Roman senators, or space-age astronauts—and display them in enclosures, much like zoo exhibits.

At the same time, players will need to build, manage, and maintain a full amusement park's worth of rides and attractions for eager Martian visitors. As the CEO of this outlandish enterprise, you'll handle everything from hiring staff and designing efficient park layouts to probing humans and ensuring your park stays profitable.

Mars Attracts - Official Announcement Trailer

The official announcement trailer for Mars Attracts is a well-paced, animated spectacle that showcases the Martians abducting and imprisoning various historical figures. From cowboys to Roman senators, the trailer humorously depicts their fate as part of the Martian zoo. All of this unfolds to the tune of a cover of The House of the Rising Sun by The Animals, adding a quirky, retro flair to the chaotic scenes.
