Lil' Guardsman Story Plot
You play as Lil, a 12-year-old covering for her dad’s shift at the guard shed of a kingdom called Sprawl, determining which characters are admitted, denied entry, or sent to jail based on what they tell you. Your decision affects the future of the kingdom, with you possibly inciting a war by sending the wrong person to jail or bringing chaos into the city by admitting the wrong people.
Lil' Guardsman Gameplay
As the kingdom of Sprawl’s guardsman, you’ll be determining whether or not people are granted entry into the kingdom based on what they tell you. You’ll encounter a varied cast of people, elves, goblins, and other fantastical creatures attempting to enter the kingdom. Other than your important job, you could explore Sprawl and interact with its inhabitants. Useful tools are also at your disposal, like a truth spray or metal detectors.

Lil' Guardsman First Impressions
From the looks of it, Lil’ Guardsman looks like a very fun adventure where you get to interact with quirky NPCs. The voice acting from the trailers sounds great, the dialogue is rich and funny, the gameplay looks engaging, and the cast of characters is interesting. The art style looks fantastic, considering that this is an indie game, and reminds me of adult cartoons like Total Drama.
