As a classical 2D fighting game, it’s best to assume that Hunter x Hunter Nen Impact will have a minimal story. It will instead focus on the exhilarating prospect of having iconic characters work together and fight the enemy team of Nen Users!
From the protagonists in Gon, Killua, Kurapika, and Leorio, to the Hunter Chairman Netero, and and to the mischievous villain in Hisoka, assemble your team of Nen users and unleash devastating combos against your foes!
Hunter x Hunter Nen Impact Gameplay
Hunter x Hunter Nen Impact is a 3v3 tag-based fighting game developed by 8ing, famous for their development of the cult-hit classic fighting games Tatsunoko vs Capcom and Marvel vs Capcom 3. Form a party of three characters out of a starting launch roster of 16, and take on the enemy team in exhilarating and chaotic gameplay where you can easily call in your teammates to execute Tag moves, or tag in-and-out at a moment’s notice! Build up your Nen gauge and execute your Nen techniques to overwhelm your opponents!
Of course, speaking of Nen techniques, build up enough Nen and you’ll be able to execute your selected characters’ most iconic and most powerful Nen techniques that will devastate all foes!
Hunter x Hunter Nen Impact Roster Characters
Hunter x Hunter Nen Impact seems to have a starting launch roster of only 16 characters. So far, only following have been confirmed:

- * Uvogin and Machi were briefly shown in the newest official PV trailer, but their gameplay has yet to be revealed.

There has been no information about future characters to be included, but we can theorize which characters will surely make the cut.
One possible character would be the Phantom Troupe leader, Chrollo Lucilfer, with his Bandit’s Secret technique allowing him a wide variety of stolen Nen techniques. Another would be the eldest Zoldyck brother, Illumi, who’s Nen Needles would surely be instrumental in turning the tides in battle.
Another would be the lovable and cute Nen mentor Biscuit Krueger, who can revert back to her true form of a well-built warrior at a moment’s notice. Another shoe-in would be another mentor in Kite, who’s random Crazy Slots will surely give him tons of playstyle variety!
Onwards to the series’ most iconic arc, the Chimera Ant Royal Guards of Neferpitou, Shaiapouf, and Menthuthuyoupi, have a huge chance to be included, as they have very fleshed out abilities and characters that will surely be fit for the fighting game.
Last but not least, the Chimera Ant King himself Meruem, the light that illuminates all, is the strongest character in the Hunter x Hunter world, and so would surely be the rival to the already confirmed Chairman Netero.

They also sneakily show two previously unannounced characters from the Phantom Troupe– Uvogin and Machi!
