Hades 2 Plot
Hades 2 is a direct sequel to the original, where Chronos, the Titan of Time, has usurped Hades and taken control of the Underworld. Melinoë, still only a baby, was luckily saved from the onslaught by the Goddes of Witchcraft and Crossroads, Hecate, as Hades, Persephone, and the previous protagonist Zagreus were taken captive.
Players take on the role of the immortal Princess of the Underworld Melinoe, an immortal witch and sorceress with powerful magical abilities, a variety of "Nocturnal weapons," and a score to settle with Grandfather Time. Players will explore a bigger, deeper mythical world, where they will gain the full might of Olympus and more to hopefully vanquish the forces of Chronos.
Melinov, much like her brother Zagreus from the original game, is based on ancient beliefs and tied to the Underworld and the deity, Hades. As with the original Hades, witchcraft is a central theme in Hades 2 and heavily influences the game's narrative. The sequel delves into ancient witchcraft practices and their connection to several Greek myths. Likewise, Hecate, being the goddess of witchcraft in ancient Greek religion and myth, acts as Melinoë's direct mentor.
Hades 2 Gameplay
Hades 2 is a rogue-like dungeon crawler in which players use sorcery to take on the sinister Titan of Time. The game builds on several aspects of its predecessor, Hades, in an all-new, action-packed, endlessly replayable experience rooted in the Underworld of Greek myth and its deep connections to the dawn of witchcraft. Tons of new gods, goddesses, boons, weapons, regions, and abilities will be at Melinoë's disposal.
In contrast to her brother Zagreus, the daughter of Hades utilizes different weapons and a new Magick system where she can cast more powerful versions of her attacks by consuming Magick. It's a resource that regenerates after exiting or entering any new room, or through various boons and upgrades received from gods or allies found in her travels.

The Hades 2 Reveal Trailer unveils its new protagonist, the immortal Princess of the Underworld, Melinoe. In the trailer, Melinoe exhibits a variety of abilities and movesets as she fights the forces of the Titan of Time. A mysterious figure grants the princess a pair of weapons, seemingly aiding her. Other characters such as as Gods Apollo, Nemesis, and Moros also appeared in the trailer.
