Hades 2 Plot
Players take on the role of the immortal Princess of the Underworld Melinoe, an immortal witch and sorceress with powerful magical abilities, a variety of "shadowy weapons," and a score to settle. Players will explore a bigger, deeper mythical world, where they will gain the full might of Olympus, and hopefully vanquish the forces of Chronos, the Titan of Time. Hades 2 is a direct sequel, set in and around the Underworld of Greek myth after the events of the original game.
Melinoe, much like her brother Zagreus from the original game, is based on ancient beliefs and tied to the Underworld and the deity, Hades. As with the original Hades, witchcraft is a central theme in Hades 2 and heavily influences the game's narrative. The sequel delves into ancient witchcraft practices and their connection to several Greek myths. Likewise, Hecate, being the goddess of witchcraft in ancient Greek religion and myth, is expected to play a significant role in the game.
Hades 2 Gameplay
Hades 2 is a rogue-like dungeon crawler in which players use dark sorcery to take on the sinister Titan of Time. The game builds on several aspects of its predecessor, Hades, in an all-new, action-packed, endlessly replayable experience rooted in the Underworld of Greek myth and its deep connections to the dawn of witchcraft. New locations, challenges, and upgrade systems are also added in the game.
In Hades 2 reveal trailer, Melinoe was shown to wield melee weapons such as a knife and sickle. Likewise, she is shown dashing around, performing long-ranged charge attacks, area-of-effect attacks, and attacks that inflict status effects. A few abilities shown in her set are:

The Hades 2 Reveal Trailer unveils its new protagonist, the immortal Princess of the Underworld, Melinoe. In the trailer, Melinoe exhibits a variety of abilities and movesets as she fights the forces of the Titan of Time. A mysterious figure grants the princess a pair of weapons, seemingly aiding her. Other characters such as as Gods Apollo, Nemesis, and Moros also appeared in the trailer.
