Foamstars Story Plot
The Foamstars are an eccentric cast of capable athletes partaking in the world’s biggest sports event, the Foamsmash tournament. In this tournament, contestants will use foam to attack, defend, or strategically alter terrain to their favor. Skill and charisma will decide who will be crowned the winner of the Foamsmash.
Foamstars Gameplay
Each of the 8 Foamstars have their own unique kit of abilities and weapons, much like in some hero shooters like Overwatch and Rogue Company. As the title suggests, everything in this game revolves around foam, including combat and movement. You’ll move faster when moving on top of your team’s foam, and you’ll use your foam guns and abilities to try to get foes foamed up, leaving them open for a slide attack to eliminate them out of the game.
Foamstars will launch with a PVE mode along with 3 PVP modes. Given that the game is marketed as a 4v4 party shooter, the main focus would be the PVP modes. The first of those three is "Smash The Star," where each team must eliminate 7 players. Upon doing that, a Star Player is chosen from the enemy team, improving that player’s capabilities. Once the Star Player is eliminated, the game is over. Another is the "Rubber Duck Party," which is similar to Overwatch’s Push mode, where teams would try to control the giant rubber duck and push it as far back into enemy territory as they could. Finally, there’s Happy Bath Survival, a 2v2 game mode where one from each team is placed in the arena while the other two are placed outside. The players inside must battle it out while the players outside will support their teammate from a distance.
