FAIRY TAIL 2 Gameplay
Gameplay Overview
FAIRY TAIL 2 introduces a new real-time action RPG combat system, moving away from the turn-based mechanics of the first game. Players can take control of guild members like Natsu, Lucy, and other members from the Fairy Tail Guild, utilizing character-specific Mode Changes to activate unique abilities during battles.
The system includes features such as Unison Raids, which allow allies to combine their powers for joint attacks, and Extreme Magic abilities, which are charged for more impactful moves. This new combat approach aims to replicate the fast-paced magic battles seen in the anime and manga.
Break
When the Break Gauge is completely drained, the enemy enters a break
state. During this time, they will be unable to act, and all your attacks will become critical hits. Strike before the break ends to land devastating damage!
Link Attack
Depleting an enemy's break gauge opens the opportunity to trigger a Link Attack. This allows you to team up with other characters, like Erza and Lucy, to unleash a powerful combined strike. There are various Link Attacks you can experiment with, each bringing different effects and powerful results.
Magic Origins
Magic Origins is the skill tree system where you can unlock new magic abilities and enhance your character's stats and powers, making your magical attacks even stronger.
Supports
Various characters from the Fairy Tail guild can serve as support characters, functioning like summons in the game. These supports unleash potent magic abilities to assist you in battle.

FAIRY TAIL 2 Plot
FAIRY TAIL 2 retells the manga’s final narrative arc, the Alvarez Empire Arc.
As the militaristic Alvarez Empire prepares to launch a full-scale war on Ishgar to seize Fairy Tail's secret artifact, Natsu and his fellow guild members must embark on a perilous journey filled with powerful foes and insurmountable odds to end the upcoming conflict before it begins.
Not only will the game feature an adaptation of the arc, but it will contain all-new events original and exclusive to the title that will follow the arc's final battle from its original manga chapter entitled, The Key to the Unknown.
FAIRY TAIL 2 Characters
Natsu Dragneel
Natsu Dragneel, nicknamed The Salamander,
is a carefree yet brave Fire Dragon Slayer from the Fairy Tail guild, raised by the Fire Dragon King Igneel. Always by his side is his loyal partner Happy, and together they take on challenges with Natsu's fiery combat skills. While he suffers from comical motion sickness, Natsu’s unwavering loyalty and belief in his friends make him a dependable ally.
Lucy Heartfilia
Lucy Heartfilia is a celestial wizard and a proud member of the Fairy Tail guild, recognized for her kind heart and unwavering determination. With a deep love for Celestial Spirits, she holds most of the Twelve Golden Keys of the Zodiac and summons powerful spirits to aid her. Despite her early self-doubt, Lucy matures into a brave and loyal friend who always puts her guildmates first.
Gray Fullbuster
Gray Fullbuster is a skilled ice wizard and an important member of the Fairy Tail guild, known for his calm demeanor and mastery over ice in both battle and defense. Despite his odd habit of stripping off his clothes, he’s regarded as top-tier within the guild and shares a playful, good-natured rivalry with Natsu.
Erza Scarlet
Erza Scarlet, also known as Fairy Queen
or Titania,
is an S-Class mage in Fairy Tail and widely regarded as the guild's most powerful woman. Using her unique Requip Magic, The Knight,
she can instantly switch between different weapons and armor stored in a separate dimension, making her a formidable warrior. As a core member of Team Natsu, she maintains a strict and serious demeanor that often leaves others apologizing out of fear of invoking her wrath, yet her loyalty to her guildmates is unmatched. Despite her intimidating presence, Erza also has a softer side and gets easily drunk, which shows her more playful side.
Wendy Marvell
Wendy Marvell is a kind-hearted Sky Dragon Slayer and a member of the Fairy Tail guild, known for her healing magic, Lost Magic, and her ability to control the wind. Raised by Sky Dragon Grandeeney, she is often accompanied by her partner Carla and is deeply devoted to her friends, always ready to lend a helping hand in battle and in life.
Zeref
Zeref Dragneel is a powerful, immortal dark wizard in Fairy Tail, often referred to as the Dark Lord
for creating numerous dark forces and demons that threaten the world. As the Emperor Spriggan of the Alvarez Empire, he declared war on Fairy Tail in a bid to obtain the mysterious Fairy Heart.
