Everything We Know About Castlevania Dominus Collection
Castlevania Dominus Collection Story Plot
Castlevania Dominus Collection contains four distinct remastered Castlevania games, three of which are from the Nintendo DS and one was originally an arcade game.
Castlevania: Haunted Castle Revisited stars the first Simon Belmont, as he goes into Dracula’s Castle in an arcade-style format that will have players jump platforms and defeat enemies and bosses.
Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin stars childhood friends and vampire hunters Jonathan Morris and Charlotte Aulin, as they venture through Dracula’s Castle, whose halls are adorned with magical paintings that act as portals into different sorts of biomes.
Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia stars Shanoa, a member of the Order tasked with preventing Dracula’s resurrection. She bears the power of Dominus, where she can absorb the glyphs of fallen enemies and use their powers for herself. One of her friends and another member of the Order, Albus, sabotages the organization’s efforts and renders Shanoa emotionless and amnesiac. She must now find out Albus’ true intentions, all the while preventing Dracula’s revival.
Finally, Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow stars Soma Cruz, the reincarnation of Dracula after his permanent death in 1999. The game takes place one year after the events of the previous game, Aria of Sorrow, where Soma continues to live on with the fact that, deep down, he’s the reincarnation of the Dark Vampire Lord. However, fanatics of Dracula still remain, and they seek out to assimilate Soma Cruz in order for a new reincarnation to be born. Soma Cruz, along with his allies, will do all that they can to prevent the rise of the Dark Lord once more.
Castlevania Dominus Collection Gameplay
Castlevania Dominus Collection are all classic 2D side-scrolling platformer games with combat elements and expansive maps. Castlevania is where one-half of the game-genre term ‘Metoidvania’ comes from, and so one can expect elements of modern Metroidvanias to have been taken from classic Castlevania games.
All games from the collection will have enhanced graphics, remastered music, and in addition to the various individual gimmicks and gameplay mechanics each game provides, will feature new quality-of-life additions for their ports over to modern consoles. The multi-screen layout of the NIntendo DS has been adapted to an easily customizable Multi-Display Layout; controllers can be utilized for on-screen touch controls, the ability to rewind recent actions to quickly prevent death, and a quicksave option with numerous slots for ease of access and replayability!
