Dragon Age: The Veilguard' release date and gameplay was revealed, along with a release of a special trailer. The studio also announced that it will provide more updates regarding the in-game companions, more reveals, as well as a developers Q&A throughout the end of August to September.

BioWare gave more insights into the new installment of Dragon Age and its title change from Dragon Age: Dreadwolf to Dragon Age: The Veilguard. BioWare GM Gary McKay explained the new title better captures the essence of this installment. "The previous name didn’t show just how strongly we feel about our new heroes, their stories, and how you’ll need to bring them together to save all of Thedas," McKay stated in the announcement.

BioWare announced that the next installment in the Dragon Age series will be titled Dragon Age: The Veilguard, changing from its previously announced name, Dragon Age: Dreadwolf. This name change came ahead of a gameplay reveal presentation the following week, where fans got their first look at the new game.
