WrestleQuest is set to be released on August 22, 2023 for Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
The game was originally set for a worldwide simultaneous release at 12:00AM EST / 4:00AM UTC on August 8, 2023, but no updates for release time has been made yet.
A subsequent release for mobile will be launched exclusively for Netflix Games as part of the streaming platform's gaming service.

Pro wrestling and RPG form a tag team in the pixel-powered adventure, WrestleQuest. The game is all about going from an aspiring rookie to world champion in the world of pro wrestling. WrestleQuest is a nostalgia bomb, with heroes and legends from the past 40-50 years such as the 'Macho Man' Randy Savage, Jake 'The Snake' Roberts, Bret Hart, Luna Vachon. These larger-than-life characters and superstars are all coming to life in this fantasy pro wrestling adventure.
WrestleQuest opens up a world to explore outside the ring in true RPG fashion. The game features a whole map of towns and different areas to explore, over 400 NPCs to interact with, and a huge emphasis on a fantasy setting reminescent of a childhood filled with toys and action figures. It also puts front and center the stories, behind-the-scenes in the business and its trials and tribulations, and what it really is like to be a pro wrestler. Whether you're a fan of wrestling or just RPG, WrestleQuest promises an enjoyable experience for anyone.

WrestleQuest Story Plot
The game lets players control Muchacho Man, a rookie who aspires to dominate the local wrestling scenes on his way to become a world champion. You build him from scratch and decide on the type of wrestler you want him to be: a powerhouse, technical wrestler, underdog, sidekick, or showman. Muchacho Man must go from being an industry outlier to the next big thing, all while being under the guidance of the greatest of the greats in the sport.
WrestleQuest Gameplay
WrestleQuest's combat takes place in and around the ring, and follows a turn-based system that RPG fans will certainly be familiar with. You can buff and debuff opponents, disrupt their turns, customize your party, and keep track track of HP and AP meters. The game also incorporates the theatrics of pro wrestling, from delivering promos via dialogues with other characters backstage, hyping up matches by generating a Hype meter, pro wrestling face vs. heel concept, and even getting your entrance down to a tee.
