Atlas Fallen, a desert-traversing RPG of celestial proportions, is nearing its release. Read on to find out where to purchase the game and when you can start playing.
Atlas Fallen Release Date and Time
August 10, 2023
Deck13 Interactive and Focus Entertainment have announced that their newest adventure RPG, Atlas Fallen, will be released on August 10, 2023. It was delayed from its initial release date of May 16, 2023, due to, as Focus Entertainment tweeted, needing more time to ensure that the game is a "memorable A-RPG experience."
According to Focus Entertainment's recent tweet, the game's PC and console versions will release mostly at different times and schemes. For example, the PC version will release globally at 00:01 CEST on August 10. You can check when Atlas Fallen releases in your area using the table below:
Region | Local Release Time |
---|---|
United States (EST) | August 9, 6:01 p.m. |
United States (PDT) | August 9, 3:01 p.m. |
United Kingdom | August 9, 11:01 p.m. |
New Zealand | August 10, 10:01 a.m. |
Australian East Coast | August 10, 8:01 a.m. |
Australian West Coast | August 10, 6:01 a.m. |
Japan | August 10, 7:01 a.m. |
Philippines | August 10, 6:01 a.m. |
South Africa | August 10, 12:01 a.m. |
Brazil | August 9, 7:01 p.m. |
On the other hand, the console version releases globally at staggered times such that everybody will have access to the game once August 10 arrives at 12:01 AM on their local time. This also means that the PC and Console versions will release at different times in every time zone not in CEST. For example, if you live in a location that uses EST, you can play the PC version roughly six hours before the console version becomes available.
Everything We Know About Atlas Fallen
Atlas Fallen Story Plot
"Take up the gauntlet. Liberate mankind. Destroy the Sun God."
Atlas Fallen is set in a world ruined by the Sun God. Here, giant deadly monsters roam the lands, while humans are forced to dig the earth. With their names taken from them, humans have lost their identities. After centuries of slavery, the protagonist, one of the nameless, chances upon a power that could rival their captor. Thus, their journey to free mankind from servitude begins.
Atlas Fallen Gameplay
With a massive open-world map and proportionately large enemies, the combat in Atlas Fallen is as flashy as it is great. The player can mix and match their weapons to a combination to suit their playstyle, enabling fights at any range and speed. On top of that, there’s quite a lot of 3D maneuvering in the game, allowing players to take the fight to the skies if they wish. This will be essential in certain battles as most enemies will have weak points that can be exploited. Sometimes these weaknesses will only be exposed at certain stages of the fight, so having several methods to get from one point to another quickly will be a blessing.
Exploration also seems to be heavily emphasized in the game, as evidenced by the players being provided with a slew of traversal skills, such as gliding on the sand or dashing through the air.

Atlas Fallen Multiplayer
According to a recent AMA by the developers on Reddit, Atlas Fallen's Multiplayer/Co-op is designed for you to play with friends, family, or basically anybody you can directly interact with outside of the game such as on Discord. In other words, it will not support random matchmaking.
Both players can play through the game's main campaign in co-op mode, and their progress will be saved to their single-player world. Trophies or achievements will also be unlocked with your co-op partner. However, if a player joins a session which has more progress than theirs, then the game will warn them that any progress done on the main campaign in that world will not carry over to their save.
Atlas Fallen Crossplay
While Atlas Fallen supports cross-store compatibility on PC, it will not support cross-platform. According to the developers in their Reddit AMA, the reason is that platform politics is a delicate and work-intensive aspect. The developers simply could not handle the process without compromising on arguably more important things, such as gameplay.
