Aliens: Dark Descent Story Plot
The game takes place in the distant future at Lethe's moon base Tantalus. A squad of marines from the USS Otago travel through the spacecraft Pioneer to find a relay and repair their craft. However, they only encounter ruins inside as Xenomorphs run wild, hunting everything down.
This is Tindalos Interactive's first game for the Alien franchise, featuring gameplay wildly different from their previous works Battleship Gothic: Armada and its sequel, Battleship Gothic: Armada 2.
Aliens: Dark Descent Gameplay
Aliens: Dark Descent is a top-down real-time strategy game. You command four marines who must survive against Xenomorphs and other, more familiar enemies. To do so, you must explore and scavenge for materials you could use to level up and upgrade your soldiers and complete objectives. Each marine has access to many weapons and skills, which allows you to customize your squad to your preferences.
While engaged, you can slow down time to issue multiple commands within a short period of in-game time. This allows you to execute complicated maneuvers or prioritize urgent targets as soon as they appear.
The game also features a perma-death mechanic. Since every marine has a specialty, losing even one will mean a reduction in your squad's chances for survival.

Unfortunately, for players looking to face the game's horrors with friends, Aliens: Dark Descent is currently planned for a single-player-only release.
