LEGO Unveils Zelda Great Deku Tree 2-In-1 Set and Kicks Off Pre-Orders

Retails at $299 and Launches Starting September 1

Zelda and LEGO's collaboration "Great Deku Tree 2-in-1" set features 2,500 pieces, recreating the legendary Hylian landmark in two distinct versions based on two game titles: one inspired by Ocarina of Time (OOT) and the other from Breath of the Wild (BOTW). In addition to the Great Deku Tree, the set includes the Master Sword pedestal from Breath of the Wild and Link's House from Ocarina of Time.

The set also includes four brand-new Minifigures: Child OOT Link, Adult OOT Link, BOTW Zelda, and BOTW Link, with a variety of new Lego bricks representing key items from the series, such as the Hylian Shield and the Ocarina. Pre-orders are available now at LEGO's official website, with shipping starting on September 1, 2024. The Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 set sells for $299.99 USD / $449.99 AUD / £259.99 GBP.

Both versions of the Zelda Great Deku Tree Lego set are interactive. The BOTW set features an animated Great Deku Tree face that can be controlled by pressing a lever, while the OOT version includes a mechanism that opens the tree's mouth, revealing a Skulltula creature that descends into its depths. The set also includes a variety of buildable characters such as Hestu the Korok, smaller Koroks, Deku Babas, Navi the Fairy, the Deku Sprout, and a Skulltula. This extensive detail ensures that fans can immerse themselves in the Zelda universe.

The set dimensions vary between the two versions, according to outlet Jay's Brick Blog: "the Breath of the Wild Great Deku Tree is 33cm (12.9 inches) wide and 31cm (12.2 inches) tall, while the Ocarina of Time version measures 21cm (8.2 inches) wide and 33cm (12.9 inches) tall."
