ULTRAKILL Reveals Its Eighth Chapter With The Fraud Layer of Hell
A New Layer Brings New Enemies and Trippy Stage Design to ULTRAKILL
Cult favorite boomer shooter ULTRAKILL finally revealed its latest chapter, the 8th layer of hell, otherwise known as the Fraud Layer, after nearly 2 years since its last major gameplay update for the Violence Layer.
Revealed as a brief gameplay trailer during the PC Gaming Show segment of Summer Game Fest 2025, ULTRAKILL's latest update promises to take V1 deeper into the depths of hell, this time to the realm of liars and cheats in this Dante's Inferno-esque quest for blood and fuel.

From what was shown in the trailer, the Fraud Layer, true to the sin it embodies, is not what it seems, presenting non-euclidian geometry, endless hallways, expanding rooms, and a brand-new enemy as its biggest features.
New weapon attachments, types, and power-ups like Dual-Wield from Layer 4: Greed have yet to be detailed, although an extended look at the layer's stage design, gimmicks, and visuals is available on New Blood Interactive's official YouTube Channel, featuring the layer's first stage, Hurtbreak Wonderland, front and center.

Set to Be Released Sometime "Soon Within The Year", According to Developer

Despite the apparent excitement from the game's dedicated fanbase, its developer, Arsi Patala, otherwise known as "Hakita", has confirmed in the trailer, and later on social media, that the update isn't fully out yet, nor is its release date certain.
The game will be released "soon", more specifically "within the year", but the Finnish developer could not provide any more information than that. Despite the extended wait, it seems that ULTRAKILL fans will have to wait just a bit longer for their next foray into hell.
