Tomb Raider Catalyst was just revealed at The Game Awards 2025, and will be the franchise's largest, all-new adventure. This was intially teased by TGA organizer Geoff Keighley on Twitter (X), and is set to be the next mainline game in the series' long and rich history.
The game is set in the fractured and perilous landscape of Northern India following a mythical cataclysm that has unleashed ancient secrets and powerful guardian forces. As Lara Croft races to uncover the truth buried beneath the mysterious ruins and towering mountains, she must contend with the world’s most notorious treasure hunters who seek to exploit this newly revealed power for their own gain.
The gameplay is built as a vertically rich platforming playground where Lara utilizes her athleticism and richly customized adventure tech to explore dense jungles and mysterious ruins, all while navigating a high-stakes scenario where the ancient world violently collides with the present, forcing her to decide who to trust to prevent a global catastrophe.
Tomb Raider Catalyst is set to be released in 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
