⚫︎ The Witcher 4 will be drawing from Andrzej Sapkowski novel series's newest installment, Crossroad of Ravens, just as Witcher 3 utiilized the franchise's latest titles at the time of release, according to narrative lead Philipp Weber. "I can't reveal how exactly we'll do it, but Season of Storms also came out while we developed The Witcher 3, so we still tried to include some of the new elements," said Weber.

⚫︎ The Witcher 4's development is proceeding full steam ahead as CD Projekt Red has reportedly added a whopping 60+ more developers to the upcoming game's team. The Witcher 4, despite sharing a home with the upcoming Cyberpunk sequel, had already been CDPR's biggest project currently in the making, so this upscaling may signal that the game is making good progress.

⚫︎ The Witcher 4 Developers are facing pressure to make it better than The Witcher 3, but narrative director Philipp Weber also notes that quality is subjective and that they should just focus on making a title that players will enjoy.
In an interview with GamesRadar, Weber spoke about the pressure that the team feels on trying to outdo The Witcher 3 with its upcoming sequel. Despite this, Weber doesn't see quality as a mathematical that can instantly tell if a game is great. They are instead focused on making sure that The Witcher 4 will do justice to the legacy of the series by keeping the philosophies that they had with the previous game. Webser also mentioned that they should stop trying to surpass The Witcher 3, but instead make a title that players will enjoy instead saying, "just make sure that some people will really love The Witcher 4, and hopefully those should be the people that love The Witcher 3, because the philosophy we had – how we make games, how we make quests, what The Witcher means to us – it’s the same one.”

In contrast to many modern RPGs that rely on fetch quests as filler content, the upcoming installment will focus on meaningful, story-driven quests that avoid repetitive objectives. The move reaffirms CDPR’s commitment to immersive storytelling and high-quality quest design in its flagship fantasy series.

⚫︎ CD Projekt Red Developer Jan Hermanowicz, talks about The Witcher 4 tech demo saying that it is strictly tech demo and not representative of the actual game when it releases. This is in part due to how CDPR misrepresented the state of Cyberpunk 2077 by saying that the features shown in their trailers were included in its initial release. Hermanowicz also expressed that they wanted to be extremely transparent
because of the previous mistake. They reiterate that the tech demo will have assets that are being used and worked on in the game, but the demo is not representative of actual gameplay or the final product to be released in the near future.
