Tekken 8 Releases Kuma Trailer
Kuma Has Salmon Rocket Super Now
As expected, a mainline Tekken entry cannot go absent with the lovable bear Kuma. This Kuma is better known as Kuma II, as he's the son of the original Kuma who died of old age. He carries his previous arsenal of movies as before, but has evidently been training with his master Heihachi Mishima before his death. From the gameplay trailer, Kuma seems to have adopted plenty of Heihachi’s moves to carry on his legacy as his adopted son, bodyguard, and pet!
Kuma has his usual slashes, jabs, and sweeps all enhanced by his bear claws and legs. Occasionally he can carry his entire opponent through his strong jaws and fling them into the ground. Now, however, comes something entirely new to the series, as it definitely seems like Kuma can now perform electrics, more officially known as Electric Wind God Fist. As with all combatants from the Mishima clan, they have access to electric moves that require precise input timing to execute in order to release powerful versions of the advanced technique. Though not officially confirmed, many suspect that Kuma’s triple uppercut move pictured above is a triple electric attempt, where a third of the attempts was a successful execution of the move. Nothing is certain as of now, but as Kuma has been a faithful adopted son/grandson to Heihachi for his 11 years of life, no one can deny he could potentially learn the Mishima Clan’s secret techniques.
Lastly, most surprising of all, Kuma’s new super move has him strike his opponent with his salmon akin to a baseball swing. Afterwards, the salmon turns into a rocket that flies into his opponents. It’s extraordinarily weird and absurd, which perfectly fits the personality of the Master of Salmon.
