There have also been no updates on Silent Hill: Townfall and Silent Hill f since their initial announcement. Silent Hill: Ascension was released in 2023, but it failed to meet fan expectations, receiving a 5/10 score from IGN and a 2.5/5 from Google Play.

On the cinematic front, the upcoming film Return to Silent Hill, directed by Christophe Gans, who also directed the original Silent Hill movie in 2006, provided fans a glimpse of its version of Pyramid Head on May 16. The film follows the story of Silent Hill 2 where James, played by Jeremy Irvine, who is devastated after being separated from his true love, played by Hannah Emily Anderson. A mysterious letter calls him back to Silent Hill in search of her, where he finds the town changed by an unknown evil and encounters terrifying figures both new and familiar.
