Rockstar Introduces Cfx Marketplace
A Good Step for Creators & the Community

Rockstar celebrates the launch of Cfx Marketplace, a centralized platform for Rockstar’s talented pool of modders. According to their official website, the Cfx Marketplace is Rockstar’s "curated digital storefront where FiveM and RedM creators share and sell their work."
The Cfx Marketplace will feature "purchasable props, scripts, maps, and much more" for creators and modders across the studio’s two big games: Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2) and Grand Theft Auto V (GTA 5).
Since the initial launch on January 12, 2026, Cfx Marketplace has already partnered with multiple creators, including modders like The Ambitioneers, who are known for their Roxwood County Map Expansion.
More creators are set to emerge soon, including CodeM, NoPixel, and Tiger Scripts. These modders are responsible for breathing life into FiveM and RedM, two custom software built to play custom multiplayer servers for GTA 5 and RDR2 respectively.

Cfx was initially acquired by Rockstar in August 2023, marking a turning point that allowed creators to build their own user-generated content to integrate into both GTA 5 and RDR2. However, it wouldn’t be this week that Rockstar finally launched the marketplace for all to enjoy.
The announcement invited other RedM and FiveM creators who are interested in creating resources for their budding marketplace, where they can submit a request and register on the official Cfx Support Channel.
Its Impact On GTA 5 & RDR2 Communities

The Cfx Marketplace has a selection of mods that are generally available for free, but some premium mods cost $129.99, while prices for creator packs can go up to as high as $389.99. Cfx Marketplace announced that all profits are collected only by its creators, marking a significant turning point for its growing modding communities, as modders were heavily reliant on third-party forums before.
Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2 are two of the biggest games Rockstar has in their catalog. Their live-service offerings, namely GTA Online and Red Dead Online, have cultivated a growing playerbase of role-play enthusiasts who want to engage in social adventures with like-minded individuals. If it were not for their dedicated online modes, FiveM and RedM would not exist.
The Cfx Marketplace can potentially encourage even more users to share their creations with its wide audience, compared to their previous means of sifting through third-party sources just to search for interesting mods. This all-in-one place will make mod finding centralized, and both Rockstar and the mod creators can benefit from it.
Potential GTA 6 Integration

While the Cfx Marketplace is currently limited only to FiveM and RedM, it could also be used to foster Rockstar’s most ambitious game to date, Grand Theft Auto VI. Despite GTA 6’s murky release schedule, a potential integration on the Cfx Marketplace could be a game-changer as modders can craft their own Grand Theft Auto experiences when it finally arrives.
Rockstar has yet to announce what GTA 6’s online mode could be like, as development of the game is still rocky. While details about it are scarce at the moment, they did confirm that it will have a dedicated GTA Online mode similar to GTA 5. Rumors circulating that it will be a standalone purchase rather than a tie-in to GTA 6 could pose a problem among the community, as players expect that its online mode would remain free like its previous iteration.

While it is still early to tell, the launch of the Cfx Marketplace is poised to significantly shape the future for FiveM and RedM’s growing content creation, providing a trusted and sustainable ecosystem for players interested in expanding their customized experiences with GTA 5 and RDR2.
It is only a matter of time before it finds its way to GTA 6’s online mode, and when it does, it could invite budding modders to its talented community.
