Capcom's fiscal year reports for the initial nine months reveal that Resident Evil 4 Remake has achieved a lifetime sales total of 6.48 million. In the third quarter of 2023 alone, the game managed to sell over 1 million units. While Resident Evil 4 Remake holds the title of the fastest-selling game in the Resident Evil series, as noted by Alex Aniel, the author of "Itchy, Tasty: An Unofficial History of Resident Evil," it falls behind other titles like Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil: Village in terms of overall sales to date.

The significant boost in sales of Resident Evil 4 Remake can be attributed to a recent surge fueled by the addition of a new PSVR2 mode last month. In tandem with this, Capcom executed proactive promotional campaigns aimed at improving notoriety and expanding the fan and consumer base. Consequently, the overall catalog title sales for the Resident Evil series reached an impressive total of 26.7 million units this year.

Additionally, the mobile game Monster Hunter Now has achieved 10 million downloads life-to-date. Although the recent sales numbers for the Monster Hunter franchise were not disclosed, Capcom states in the report that "the Monster Hunter series delivered solid sales, driven by the announcement of Monster Hunter Wilds, an all-new addition to the series."
