Resident Evil Requiem Releases February 27, 2026!
Officially Revealed and Named!
Resident Evil 9 just got officially announced during the main event for Summer Game Fest 2025 and is set to release on February 27, 2026. The game is set in Raccoon City, now in a post-apocalyptic state after being nuked, and follows the story of Grace Ashcroft.
She is the daughter of Resident Evil Outbreak's protagonist, Alyssa Ashcroft, working as an FBI agent to investigate a string of mysterious murders and disappearances. Her work eventually leads her to her mother's site of death, the Wrenwood Hotel, where she is shown to eventually be trapped in during her investigation.
Capcom Successfully Baits the Fans
During Summer Game Fest 2025, Resident Evil director, Jun Takeuchi, announced that the latest Resident Evil game is under development and will be revealed much closer than you think. He also thanks the community for celebrating the franchise's 30th anniversary as well as their continued support of the series. He asks that the players wait just a little while longer, as more details will be revealed soon.
