In collaboration with the company behind Tokyo’s largest amusement park, Yomiuri Land Co, and The Yomiuri Shimbun, the Pokémon Company has established PokéPark Kanto LLC. It will be a new venture aimed at expanding the existing Yomiuriland amusement park in Inagi, Japan. According to the Yomiuri Shimbun, PokéPark Kanto is envisioned as a theme park that will offer "immersive Pokémon experiences and events against the backdrop of a natural environment."

In its press release, the Pokémon Company stated, "We will create a space where Pokémon fans from all over the world can gather in this area rich in nature, experience Pokémon, and have fun together, transcending national, regional, and language barriers."

PokéPark Kanto draws inspiration from and shares its name with Japan's Kanto region which happens to also be an in-game region featured in the first generation of Pokémon games (Pokémon Red and Green released in 1996.) While specific details about the opening date and attractions within PokéPark Kanto are yet to be disclosed, it is anticipated that the park will feature an array of rides and amusements.

In the same vein, it was reported by news outlet Serebii that Nintendo has recently filed trademarks for PokéPark Kalos and PokéPark Paldea in Europe. However, the purpose of these trademarks and whether they will be utilized for attractions similar to PokéPark Kanto are still undetermined.
