Pokémon Community Discovers Synchro Machine Can Defeat Shinies
Upon progressing through the storyline, trainers unlock the Synchro Machine that enables them to synchronize with their Pokémon and transform them into playable characters. Although this opens up opportunities to engage in battles with wild Pokémon, some players discovered an unexpected side effect when using the Synchro Machine for shiny hunting.
The Synchro Machine, it seems, allows players to inadvertently knock out Shiny Pokémon. One trainer shared this discovery on Reddit, aptly captioning with: "BIG PSA - Synchronize shiny hunting will kill the shiny".
YouTuber "SHINY CATHERINE" posted her experience on Twitter (X).
"WARNING FOR SHINY HUNTERS
synchro mode- your Pokémon WILL DEFEAT SHINIES. Just learned this the hard way. Didn’t notice it was shiny until I saw the grey eyes and if you get close to a Pokémon you’ll fight it 🥲".
The unintended consequence has led to speculation among fans about whether this aspect of the Synchro Machine was an oversight by the game developers.
Some suggest that developer Game Freak may need to address this issue through a future update or patch to ensure a smoother and more successful shiny hunting experience.
