Antony Starr On Not Voicing Homelander in MK1
Told Fan to Play Call of Duty When Asked If He’s Voicing Homelander
Antony Starr, the actor who plays Homelander in the hit Amazon series The Boys, told a fan to play Call of Duty when asked if he’s voicing his character in Mortal Kombat 1. The news of the actor not voicing his character in Mortal Kombat isn’t new, as people have been talking about this since early November.
Starr’s response is in reference to the collaboration between Call of Duty and The Boys, in which The Boys’ Homelander, Starlight, and Black Noir were added into the game as exclusive skins, each with unique character models, voice lines, and weapons.
Homelander was announced to be included in Kombat Pack 1 DLC as a guest kombatant alongside Omni-Man and Peacemaker. In the game, the characters are voiced by their original actors J.K. Simmons and John Cena respectively. Why Starr isn’t voicing Homelander in the game has not yet been disclosed.

Antony Starr Was Open To Voicing Homelander in Mortal Kombat
While it undoubtedly sucks that we won’t be hearing Starr’s iconic Homelander voice in Mortal Kombat, he mentioned in an Instagram comment that he was open to it, which hurts even more knowing that it was possible. This led fans to speculate that maybe Starr and NetherRealm weren’t able to reach an agreement during negotiations, or that NetherRealm just didn’t reach out. Regardless, it seems clear that someone else is voicing the World’s Greatest Supe.
