Kojima Productions 10th Anniversary Reveals and Celebration
New OD "Knock" Trailer
OD (Overdose), the previously announced horror game collaboration between Hideo Kojima and Hollywood Director Jordan Peele, in partnership with Xbox Game Studios, unveiled its latest trailer. During Kojima Productions’ "Beyond The Strand" 10th Anniversary livestream on September 23, the developers revealed the OD "Knock" trailer, which featured new footage for their upcoming horror title.
The 3-minute teaser showcased the game’s hyperrealistic graphics using the Unreal Engine, which included some cryptic quotes and lines. The video starred actress Sophia Lillis as she tried to light up creepy-looking candles.

She struggled to light them one by one, and marks began to show up on her face. The trailer ends with Lillis screaming and crying as she is interrupted by a mysterious creature that suddenly grasps her head.
Not much information has been announced for OD, and the game remains shrouded in mystery since its first announcement during The Game Awards in 2023. Kojima and his crew continue to be tight-lipped about the game, yet fans are excited to see more of this new horror experience.
Physint New Poster and Cast Members Revealed
Aside from OD, Kojima Productions also shared new details about its upcoming collaboration with PlayStation Studios, the action-espionage game, Physint. While Kojima noted that the game is still in pre-production as they focus on other projects, he presented a new poster for the game.
Alongside the poster reveal, cast members for Physint were announced, including Don Lee, known for his work in Train to Busan and Marvel’s Eternals, Charlee Fraser from Anyone But You and Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, and Minami Hamabe from Godzilla: Minus One and Let Me Eat Your Pancreas.
Each actor had a short video where they congratulated Kojima Productions on its 10th anniversary and shared their thoughts on their casting. Following those videos, Kojima posted on Twitter (X) on September 23 a 3D-scanned model of Minami Hamabe.
He stated that it was an output using the yet-to-be-revealed game engine, and it is still under development. Fans applauded the quality of the model shown and are excited to see more of it in the future.
Death Stranding Animated Movie and New AR Project

Beyond the studios’ upcoming games, Kojima Productions also announced that they are creating an animated movie with a working title called "DEATH STRANDING: MOSQUITO." Together with ABC Animation studio, this film is part of the company’s goal of expanding the Death Stranding IP, which also has plans to produce an anime and a live-action adaptation.
Speaking of the A24 live-action movie, Kojima and film Director Michael Sarnoski stated that it will tell a different story from the game. Sarnoski said, "We really want to capture the soul of the game, capture the themes of the game, but tell a story you haven't seen in that world and explore characters you haven't seen before – and find all of that scope and all of those incredible real locations, but also find all of those nuances characters and do justice to this on a macro and micro scale,"
Kojima stated that the film needed to create a new narrative as he feared that the original Death Stranding story might be cut short in a two-hour movie. "We’re trying to find another story that you’ve never seen in this same universe that is both accessible to people that have never played these games before but will also give something to people that know the games really well," Sanroski added.

Kojima Productions is also working on an AR Project with Niantic Spatial, the studio behind the hit AR game Pokémon Go. This was announced through a short trailer, which showcased the project’s concept of "move beyond the screen."
It’s unclear whether this ties directly to the Death Stranding universe, but based on the video, it seems to follow the same format as popular AR titles such as Pokémon Go and Monster Hunter Now, where players must interact with real-world objects and places to experience the gameplay.
There is no further information regarding the release date or window of the Death Stranding films and AR project.

With Death Stranding 2’s recent release and multiple projects in the same universe coming in the future, Kojima continues to expand the hit sci-fi world of the United Cities of America. Additionally, he also previously mentioned earlier this year that Death Stranding 3 exists, but he will not be the one making it.
