PGR x DMC Collab Livestream
DMC Dante and Vergil Character and Weapon Banners Start on August 6
Punishing Gray Raven (PGR) begins the countdown for its upcoming collaboration event with Devil May Cry (DMC), featuring two of the most popular characters in the DMC franchise. Developer Kuro Games recently held a special livestream on July 30, where they shared more details about the looming crossover.
The developers have been working to implement several changes to the game as part of their synchronization plan for all servers and versions of PGR. As such, PGR's global version will also get to experience the said collab. Similar to the PGR x DMC collab on the Chinese server, the update will include Dante’s and Vergil’s character banners, as well as the weapon banners for Devil Sword Dante and Yamato.
DMC’s main protagonist, Dante, will be a Fire Attacker that specializes in offense with the ability to switch through weapons and unleash different skills. His classic motorcycle, Cavaliere, can also be equipped as a Netherworld Arm or CUB (Companion Unit in Battle), — equippable items that provide additional effects and attacks—to deliver more amazing combos and deal additional damage to enemies.
Dante can also transform into his True Devil Trigger form, which gives him a different moveset, expanding his arsenal to dish out more stylish combos. In this form, he can finish opponents off with his "Final Judgement" attack.
Meanwhile, Vergil is a Physical Attacker that shares similar mechanics to Dante. He can also transform into his devil form, where he gains Super Armor and a great boost to his speed and damage. With full signature energy, he can obliterate enemies with his classic "Judgement Cut End" special attack.
To further extend and create combos, Vergil’s Mirage Blades can be equipped as a Netherworld Arm. Both Dante's and Vergil’s signature weapons, Devil Sword Dante and Yamato, will be available to pull from their respective banners.
Mirrored Vergil and Trial of Simulacrums
During the collab event, the game will feature a new boss challenge where players must face Mirrored Vergil. This version of Vergil has similar moves with the obtainable character, with additional variety in its moveset and the ability to summon clones that can deal massive damage.
Furthermore, this boss will also be showcased in the Trial of Simulacrums beginning on August 6 until September 18. In this mode, players must accumulate high scores based on their moves and attacks, which function similarly to DMC’s Stylish meter.
In addition to Mirrored Vergil, Echo will be added as another boss for the event. Accomplishing all the objectives will reward the players with Echo’s summer-themed coating, Sandy Spectrum.
Free Dante and Anniversary Rewards
To celebrate the collab, PGR will be giving away a free Dante to those who participate and progress through the Lamento di Phantasma story event. Players must complete Stage 6 of the said event to obtain him.
As we previously reported, those who pull either Dante or Vergil on their respective banners will get another copy of them for free, and this effect can be triggered twice during the event. Moreover, the cost for each pull on their banners will be discounted to 175 R&D tickets.
PGR will also be celebrating its 4th anniversary during this period, so there will be a bunch of in-game rewards awaiting players. There will be a sign-in event where players can receive bonuses such as 2,500 Event Construct R&D tickets, an exclusive 4th Anniversary Main Scene, portraits, collectibles, and more.
Additionally, after the update on August 6, the double bonus for the first-time Black Card exchange will be reset. The in-game anniversary Limited Research will also be available, where players can pull for the character of their choice in an exclusive banner that includes all characters up to Lilith: Daemonissa.
The upcoming Lamento di Phantasma collaboration event is highly anticipated since its first arrival in the game’s Chinese server. Fans from all over the world are excited to experience the latest crossover of PGR with one of the most beloved franchises in gaming history.
Punishing Gray Raven is available for iOS and Android, and its upcoming Devil May Cry collaboration event will begin on August 6, 2025.
