 ⚫︎ Coming soon, Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap adds Challenge Mode and Endurance Mode, new ways to test your traps and push Difficulty to 20. Tackle handcrafted gauntlets, 25-wave endurance runs, Nightmare variants, and unlock new cosmetics.

 ⚫︎ The latest Orcs Must Die! update, State of Slay, is now live, bringing expanded crossplay support for Steam players to include PlayStation 5.

 ⚫︎ The Magnum Orcus update for Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap is now live, introducing a host of new features including expanded narrative content, gameplay improvements, and a returning fan-favorite map.

Key additions include new dialogue for Missions 1, 2, and all boss stages (available with a new profile), a final cinematic accessible via the HUB, and a Codex library detailing enemies, pickups, status effects, and franchise lore. Players can now also collect and display enemy figurines by meeting new milestones or uncovering hidden collectibles.

A new reimagined map, Fractured Steps, has been added, alongside new Magic Mirror skins for Gabriella and Maximilian. All heroes now have unique movement abilities, with further balance adjustments applied across the roster. Trap and thread behaviors have also been refined, including prioritization logic and damage bonuses.

 ⚫︎ Robot Entertainment has released the “Gnomecoming” update, adding the Gnome Balloonist for extra ceiling trap space, Rift Surges that boost trap damage, and Kobold Mounds that spawn waves of enemies. A new organic trap, the Orc Eater, and a new map, Resort Canal, are also included.

 ⚫︎ Robot Entertainment has teased a new content update for Orcs Must Die! with a social media post featuring a vibrant, vacation-themed setting and the caption, “SOUND THE SIRENS!” The update, described as an “all-inclusive orc-slaughtering vacation package,” is expected to arrive in early May 2025.

 ⚫︎ Robot Entertainment has unleashed the Arcane Update for Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap, bringing a magical infusion of new content to the game. This major content patch introduces a new playable War Mage, multiple remixed maps, inventive traps, and a fearsome new enemy to shake up your defenses.

 ⚫︎ Robot Entertainment has released Patch 1.0.12 for Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap, delivering a wide range of crash fixes, gameplay adjustments, and quality-of-life improvements. This update addresses several crash scenarios, including issues related to trap placement, game startup, multiplayer disconnections, and Xbox-specific bugs.

Key gameplay fixes include corrected trap behavior for the Swinging Mace and Molten Gold, proper stacking for Threads like Giant Morningstar, and improved visual and status effects for elements like poison clouds and Freeze Death. Balance adjustments were made to enemy behavior, including Ghostfang, Kobold Sappers, and AI pathing.

 ⚫︎ Robot Entertainment has released Patch 1.0.9 for Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap, introducing a range of gameplay improvements, new mechanics, and bug fixes. A new Rift Barricade trap has been added, offering high durability and the ability to power up adjacent traps at the cost of rune coins.

Thread mechanics have been overhauled, allowing players to spend rune coins to reroll or skip Thread choices, with scaling costs that reset each mission. The Thread system has been rebalanced overall, combining and buffing many Threads, removing mutual exclusivity from several, and reclassifying “Double Wide” as a Cursed Thread.

Key bug fixes include crash resolutions, lobby visibility issues, and corrections to ability descriptions. Quality-of-life updates now allow players to increase difficulty without defeating the final boss, hide damage numbers in settings, and benefit from new onboarding experiences for new profiles. Additional features include improved HUD elements, NPC notifications, and social menu access in mission select.

 ⚫︎ Robot Entertainment has announced Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap, a new entry in the long-running tower defense series set to launch in 2025. Expanding on the franchise’s signature blend of humor and chaotic trap-based combat, Deathtrap introduces four-player co-op and roguelite mechanics.

The game features randomized buffs and debuffs for heroes, traps, weapons, stats, and levels, alongside dynamic conditions like changing weather and time of day. Players can choose to continue battling waves of orcs to build stacking bonuses or retreat to a central hub for permanent upgrades.
