Octopath Traveller 0's demo will be available to download later today. Players can experience the first three hours of the game, and can keep their progress when its officially comes out later this year.
The gameplay featured in the demo includes the character creation, which will be a first for the series. After customizing the main protagonist's appearance and styles, players are plunged into the game's prologue, where the town of Wishvale celebrates its annual Day of Reverence.
Unfortunately, the festivities comes to an abrupt end as the town is attacked and burned down. It is up to the protagonist and their team to find those who are responsible for the tragedy and restore the town to its former glory.
Battles and Town-Building Included
The demo introduces players to the three main antagonists of the story known as "Masters," with each of them having their own story arc. Players can try out the first chapter of the three Master antagonist storylines.
In these story arcs, players will get to experience the game's Break and Boost Battle System, where they must exploit enemy weaknesses to achieve victory. They will also recruit some of the allies they will meet, which will only be expanded further in the main game.
Additionally, the demo features the Kindlers of the Flame arc, giving fans a first look at how the Wishvale restoration and town-building system works.
Octopath Traveller 0 is set to be released on December 4, 2025 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|}S, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC. To stay up to date with the latest information about the game, check out our article below.
