⚫︎ Nioh 3 Producer Fumihiko Yasuda confirmed the game will retain its "masocore" challenge but emphasized that the team is focused on ensuring no sudden difficulty spikes to welcome newcomers. To achieve this, the developers are providing players with many more options to find their own path to victory against tough bosses.

⚫︎ The Steam page for Nioh 3 has been updated with PC system requirements. To achieve 1080p/60 FPS on the Standard
preset, players will need at least an Intel Core i5-10600K or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, 16 GB of RAM, and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti or Radeon RX 6700 XT, with an NVMe SSD highly recommended.

⚫︎ Based on previews of the game, Nioh 3 will venture to the Bakamatsu period for the first time in the series, where players will explore locations like Kiyomizu and Honnoji temples that have been warped by the Crucible. Here, players will face both Yokai and the infamous Shinsengumi military polic, who appear as enemies wielding firearms, alongside historical figures such as Okita Soji.

⚫︎ Nioh 3 producer Kohei Shibata confirmed the game will include a higher difficulty level that unlocks for a second playthrough. New Game+ allows players to carry over their progress and face tougher foes, similar to past game which introduced features like Divine Equipment.

⚫︎ On September 2025, Koei Tecmo officially announced that Nioh 3 will launch on February 6th, 2026. On the same day, they revealed a new story trailer.
⚫︎ Team Ninja maintain their tradition of releasing pre-launch demos because they believe player feedback is what has allowed them to refine the game and bring the series so far. Producers Fumihiko Yasuda and Kohei Shibata also noted that external feedback is crucial to receive an objective perspective that helps the team address issues, especially after working on the game for a long time.

⚫︎ Koei Tecmo has confirmed its lineup for Tokyo Game Show 2025, which will include Nioh 3, Ninja Gaiden 4, and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment. The titles will be playable across all four days of the event, spanning both business and public sessions from September 25 to 28.

⚫︎ Koei Tecmo has shared anonymized feedback from Nioh 3’s recent alpha test, revealing that 91% of participants had a positive experience, with 85% praising its music and sound design.
The main criticism came from 15% of players who found switching between Samurai and Ninja styles lacking. Despite the strong reception, the developer is implementing multiple improvements ahead of the game’s planned 2026 release.

⚫︎ Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja have shadow-dropped a demo for Nioh 3, revealed during the June 2025 PlayStation State of Play. Set in Japan’s Sengoku period, the dark fantasy RPG follows a rising shogun battling supernatural forces, offering fluid combat that shifts between samurai swordplay, aerial maneuvers, and ninjutsu techniques. The full game is scheduled for release in early 2026.
