NieR’s 15th Anniversary Livestream Will Reveal New Updates For The Series
NieR 15th Anniversary Livestream On April 19, 2025
NieR will have its 15th Anniversary Livestream, featuring various developers who worked on the series. Square Enix scheduled a live stream on their YouTube channel for the upcoming 15th anniversary of the NieR series.
The live broadcast will feature people who are involved with the series, which include NieR series creator and Creative Director Yoko Taro, Producer Yosuke Saito, Composer Keiichi Okabe, Senior Game Designer Takahisa Taura, and the voice of Grimoire Weiss and Pod 042 Hiroki Yasumoto. Additionally, there will be a mini-live performance and other information regarding the commemoration of the 15th anniversary expected to be revealed.
The promotional image for the live stream includes art from NieR’s previous mobile game NieR Reincarnation, which is interesting as the game is now shut down. This may indicate that Square Enix might be exploring something related to that title, or may just be highlighting it as part of the series’ anniversary celebration.
The NieR series 15th Anniversary Live Broadcast will be aired on April 19, 2025 at 2 AM PT on Square Enix’s YouTube channel. The live stream is estimated to run for around 2 and a half hours, leading fans to believe that there would be something major to be announced.

Possible New Game For The Series
Saito previously teased fans that there could be a new game for the series in the works. In December 2024, 4Gamer posted a set of interviews which included Saito mentioning the upcoming 15th anniversary of the NieR series, and teased that he would like to do something about it, either a new game or developments related to the series.
NieR Replicant was the last game released from the series, which was a remaster-remake based on the first NieR game. Meanwhile, fans have yet to have a new mainline game since NieR Automata in 2017. Although there have been no official announcements from Square Enix, fans are still eagerly waiting for the next NieR game, especially with the 15th Anniversary of the series coming up.
