Monster Hunter Wilds Brings Back Popular Monsters Back to the Fold!
The Pink Fur Beast Returns!
After speculation based on armor sets shown in previous trailers, it's finally confirmed during the Monster Hunter Wilds Livestream that the Congalala is back to doing its wild antics! Spotted during the Tokyo Game Show Livestream, the Congalala was shown to be one of the monsters that inhabited the Scarlet Forest. To those who are unfamiliar, the Congalala is a returning Fanged Beast that's known for its striking pink fur, large stature, attacks that use the mushrooms that it stockpiles, and its foul odor attack. Its last appearance was back in Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate for the Nintendo Switch, and hasn't been in any release since. Additionally, a turf war between the Congalala and the Lala Barina was even seen during the showcase, where the former displayed its dominance and power against the arachnid.
More Returning Monsters to Come?
With the return of the Congalala and the Yian Kut-Ku, it only seems too bolster the theory of having more the series' older monsters make a come back for Monster Hunter Wilds. It wouldn't be surprising if more of the series' flagship monsters like Lagiacrus, Seregios, and the like make a return as well, as more and more of them have been included in Monster Hunter World and Monster Hunter Rise's title updates. It seems that it's only a matter of time until we get most, if not all of the older monsters in the modern releases.
