Hooded Horse shared on their official Twitter (X) that Manor Lords sold over 1 million copies in the first 24 hours; while also revealing a record-breaking peak Steam concurrent player count of 170,000. This milestone places Manor Lords at the top of its class, setting a new benchmark for city builders and other similar genres such as grand strategy games (GSG), 4X, and colony simulation.

The publishers expressed their gratitude for the overwhelming support and enthusiasm from the gaming community. "Congratulations @LordsManor, we're honored to serve as your publisher!" stated the tweet, reflecting the shared joy of the development team and their partners.

Alongside the celebratory announcement, Hooded Horse also provided insights into the upcoming patch, addressing key areas of improvement based on player feedback. These include fixes for various bugs affecting homelessness, adjustments to archer damage, refinement of trade oversupply mechanics to alleviate harsh penalties on regional specialization, and adjustments to the AI's territorial expansion pace. Additionally, plans are in place to enhance the efficiency and storage capacity of sawpits, further refining the gameplay experience for players.

Responding to queries from the community regarding the impact of these patches on existing save games, the publishers reassured players that old and current saves should function seamlessly with the updates, allowing players to continue their progress uninterrupted.

Addressing Player Concerns

Hooded Horse engaged with players directly on issues ranging from minor animation inaccuracies to technical challenges. Several players encountered difficulties with game loading, particularly when accessing Manor Lords through platforms like Gamepass or the Microsoft Store. The publisher acknowledged these issues and attributed them to external factors, specifically mentioning Microsoft's platform. While indicating that they had notified Microsoft and that efforts were underway to resolve the issue, they also provided temporary solutions such as reinstalling Gaming Services and relogging in Game Bar to mitigate the inconvenience for affected players.

Another player expressed concerns about the perceived imbalance in the game's trade mechanics, particularly regarding the relevance of farming compared to importing goods for trading. In response, Hooded Horse acknowledged the feedback, stating that while they were aware of the issues raised, they had designed the game with the intention of creating diverse regional strengths and weaknesses.

When inquired about alternative platforms for ongoing updates discussion, Hooded Horse encouraged players to join Manor Lords’ Discord server. Additionally, for any other feedback or observations, players are directed to utilize the dedicated feedback section within the game’s Discord community.
