⚫︎ Mafia: The Old Country developer Hangar 13 says the upcoming title shouldn’t be compared to Grand Theft Auto 6, despite both sharing crime-focused themes and releasing under the same parent company within months of each other.
Speaking to IGN, game director Alex Cox and studio president Nick Baynes clarified that The Old Country is not an open-world game, but a “linear, narrative-driven” experience similar to Mafia 1 and 2, rather than the open-world Mafia 3.
