LinkedIn is Planning to Add Gaming to its Services

Puzzles and Word-Based Games are in the Works

According to a report from TechCrunch, LinkedIn is in the process of developing a "new games experience" for its platform, featuring puzzles and word-based games reminiscent of Wordle. To add to this, web developer and researcher Nima Owji has uncovered codes indicating that the Microsoft-owned company is exploring games where player scores are associated with their workplaces, potentially leading to companies being "ranked" based on the scores of their employees.

Some of the games mentioned in Owji's findings include "Queens," "Inference," and "Crossclimb." A spokesperson for LinkedIn confirmed the leak to TechCrunch, stating, "We’re playing with adding puzzle-based games within the LinkedIn experience to unlock a bit of fun, deepen relationships, and hopefully spark the opportunity for conversations."

They mentioned plans to introduce more games in the future, although no release date has been set. The spokesperson also noted that the images shared by the researcher on X "are not the latest versions."
