Arcane Season 2 Confirmed for November 2024
Announced for Geeked Week 2023
In Netflix’s Geeked Week event, both Netflix and Riot Games have announced on Twitter (X) that season 2 of Arcane is coming in November of next year.
There’s not much else news other than the timeline for season 2’s release window. However, it’s worth noting that they re-confirmed that the show will have its same voice actors for Vi, Jinx, and Caitlyn as Hailee Steinfeld, Ella Purnell, and Katie Leung respectively.
Arcane tells the story of Jinx and Vi, two iconic League of Legends characters, as they find themselves on opposite sides of a conflict between the thriving city of Piltover, and the struggling, crime-ridden underbelly of Zaun. In addition to the two, the game also features a wide cast of characters from the legendary MOBA, including Jayce, Caitlyn, Heimerdinger, Ekko, and more.
Arcane’s Admirable Accomplishments
This news has fans extremely excited as the series has redefined expectations of what a film adaptation of a game should be. In contrast to the typical 5 or 6/10 IMDB ratings film adaptations of games usually receive, Arcane is rated 9/10 on IMDB, which is extremely high, especially for an animated series about a video game’s lore.
Season 1 of Arcane shattered expectations. It was nominated for 27 awards and won 22, including the Emmy for the Outstanding Animated Program of 2022.
The second season of the award winning show will pick up right where the season one finale cliffhanger ending left off.
