Infinity Nikki’s 1.7 update features an event storyline that fans have been begging for since the recent controversies from past updates. Read on to learn more about what players have been saying about the new patch.
Infinity Nikki 1.7 Update May Be a "Step in the Right Direction"
Fans Are Pleased with the Blue Tears Season Event

The Infinity Nikki 1.7 update is finally here, bringing players stunning new outfits and the Blue Tears Season event which includes a brand new exclusive story and gameplay! Since the update dropped, players have been singing the new event’s praises all over Twitter (X), naming Blue Tears Season as one of the best Infinity Nikki events to date because of its storyline and the gorgeous new suits.
The 1.7 trailer was released on July 4 featuring a new event with a more "serious" and "darker" tone that piqued fans’ interests.
Based on the trailer, the Blue Tears Season story introduced a giant white serpent named Sith and teased more information on the Wishing One, the god that once presided over Miraland, and whose fate remains shrouded in mystery.
At first, fans were cautiously optimistic about the outcome of the 1.7 update, wondering amongst themselves whether Infold, the game’s developer, would finally be able to deliver a story that could appease players who have been itching to experience more of the game’s darker themes. Luckily, it seems that Infold did not disappoint this time.

Players who have already finished the Blue Tears Season story were excited about the dramatic shift in tone from the previous 1.6 update, which included a whimsical, fairytale-like event starring a talking chicken. The 1.6 event, Playful Season, is said to be childish compared to the new one—so much so that players have accused Infold of catering to children.
On the other hand, Blue Tears Season’s storyline has received high praise from a lot of disillusioned players, with many stating that they were pleasantly shocked by how engaging and emotionally "devastating" the event-exclusive story was. The only major gripe most players seem to have is that the story could have been longer.
Could This Be the Post-1.5 Redemption Arc?

A few fans have stated that this 1.7 update looks to be a "step in the right direction" after the 1.5 update which saw Infinity Nikki players leaving en masse and reviewbombing the game on app stores. Soon after the 1.5 update had been patched in, players reported various bugs that made Infinity Nikki unplayable. And although it also seemed like Infold was being extra generous with in-game rewards, fans were quick to call them deceptive, as the Wish System also received a major controversial update that raised the cost for obtaining limited 5-star outfits.
For a lot of Infinity Nikki fans who left the game, the straw that broke the camel’s back was the seemingly retconned prologue. Before Infinity Nikki’s official launch, footage of the prologue enchanted many people, with the bewitching god Ena especially driving interest in the game. That same prologue was replaced in 1.5, with many fans stating that the new prologue thrust the players into the game without the proper context that was present in the first one.
While Infold worked to address players' frustrations over the 1.5 patch, there has been no news of any changes regarding Infinity Nikki's main storyline.
The 1.7 update possesses a similar tragic tone that was present in the old prologue and the main quests, which captured the hearts of many fans. Infinity Nikki players are still wary of future updates, but some are hopeful that this could be the sign of a return to form.
