Inazuma Eleven Set for Sequel
LEVEL-5 Confirms Writing Phase

Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road sequel writing has officially begun, according to LEVEL-5 president Akihiro Hino, who shared the update during the INA-DAI broadcast on January 13.
During the broadcast, Hino confirmed that he has "already started writing the scenario" for a sequel to Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road. No additional details were shared regarding its story, setting, or gameplay direction.
However, LEVEL-5 instead reiterated that player progress in Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road was designed to carry over into a future sequel through a system called the Player Bank. This feature will allow collected characters to be transferred between the Player Bank and the player’s main save data, allowing for seamless transition to the next mainline entry.

The sequel news arrives as Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road continues to gain traction following its release, with the title recently surpassing 800,000 copies sold worldwide. The game is also set to receive its second free major update on January 28, titled "Ares’ Fabled Seed," which introduces new story content alongside additional characters and gameplay elements.
Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road, set 25 years after the original series, follows Destin Billows or Unmei Sasanami, a student at Nagumohara Junior High, as he builds a soccer team from scratch. Players recruit and train characters, manage teams, and take part in football matches through the main story, online play, and special match modes, drawing from a roster of more than 5,400 characters.
First launched in 2008, Inazuma Eleven grew into one of LEVEL-5’s flagship properties, spanning multiple mainline entries, spin-offs, anime adaptations, and films.

Referring to the sequel as a "new Inazuma Eleven" for the Reiwa era—the current era in Japan—Hino said, "I will do my best to deliver surprise and excitement to everyone once again. Please look forward to future announcements."
Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. For more info about the game, check out our article below.
