More Details To Be Revealed In The Next BANDAI Announcement

Gundam fans are in for a real treat as an official GUNDAM Trading Card Game (TCG) has just been announced! In a X (Twitter) post dated September 27th, the official GUNDAM TCG account dropped a promotional video, signifying the beginning of the new global TCG project #GUNDAM. The news is in line with the Mobile Suit Gundam 45th anniversary project in celebration of the 45 years since Mobile Suit Gundam graced television screens around the world. However, it is currently unknown whether this will be a physical-only TCG, or if there will be online play.

Further details will be revealed on October 3rd, 19:00 JST during the BANDAI CARD GAMES Next Plan Announcement, which will also be livestreamed simultaneously on the official Bandai YouTube channel. The event will feature popular actors Kanata Hongo and Kotoko Sasaki, as well as former TV Tokyo announcer Shohei Taguchi. Hongo himself is an avid GUNPLA enthusiast, even making an appearance in the GUNPLA 40th Anniversary Project back in 2020 and showcasing his love for not only GUNPLA but for the Gundam series as well.

Excited fans are eagerly waiting for its release, as it evokes feelings of nostalgia from Bandai’s previous TCGs, such as Super Robot Wars V Crusade and Gundam War, both of which are discontinued. They have high hopes for the upcoming TCG, going as far as to calling it Gundam War 2.0. With most details still being kept under wraps as of writing, follow GUNDAM TCG’s official X (Twitter) account to stay updated with its latest happenings!
