Through a Twitter thread, Sam Houser, the co-founder and president of Rockstar Games, shared a letter of celebration, gratitude, and exciting news towards supporters of the renowned game studio. In celebration of the studio’s 25th year anniversary, they revealed that the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 will be coming this December.
This is incredibly exciting news for fans of the award winning game series, as it has been 10 years since GTA V came in 2013. Expectations for the upcoming sequel are through the roof, considering what its predecessor had accomplished a decade ago. Fans have been waiting for an update regarding GTA 6 for ages, and are sure to look forward to the highly anticipated trailer. The tweet has broken the internet and garnered over 469K reposts, 1.3 million likes, and 136 million views in less than 18 hours.
In addition to the trailer announcement, Houser also voiced his appreciation for all the support they’ve received from fans.
