⚫︎ God of War showrunner Ronald D. Moore has confirmed that Amazon’s live-action adaptation will stay true to the tone and characters of the 2018 reboot, though it won’t be a shot-for-shot remake. Speaking at San Diego Comic-Con, Moore emphasized the depth of the franchise’s world, noting that while the series will primarily follow the Norse storyline, there’s room to draw inspiration from earlier entries in the Greek saga.

⚫︎ Santa Monica Studio’s next major project, led by God of War creative director Cory Barlog, is progressing smoothly, according to Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier. In a recent ResetEra post, Schreier confirmed the game is still the studio’s “next big thing” and noted that development was “going well” as of his last check-in a month or two ago. The project marks Barlog’s first since God of War: Ragnarok launched in 2022.
