⚫︎ FragPunk’s next major update goes live on August 21, introducing a new Lancer, maps, modes, and system features. Ixchel, a gladiator from the Balamtok Arena, joins the roster with abilities that create bulletproof arenas, enhance combat speed, and trap enemies with the Spear of Kukulkan. The update also adds the Toyland and Apeph maps, alongside the limited-time tactical mode Gear Up.

⚫︎ FragPunk will receive an update on July 30, with no downtime expected during rollout. Temporary matchmaking issues may occur but will be resolved quickly.
The update prepares for the launch of the “Band Challenges: Stickers Tour” event on July 31, which offers rewards including the exclusive Lancer Headwear Gorilla Mask, 40 Basic Sticker Packs, 13 Rising Tempest Sticker Packs, and 350 Glunite Coins.

⚫︎ FragPunk has announced a scheduled update for June 26, with matchmaking disabled at 9:30 AM (UTC+8) and maintenance beginning at 10:00 AM. The estimated downtime is around three hours.
The update introduces new content for Season 2 Chapter 1, including a new Lancer named Hurricane—a teenage polar bear specializing in area control and frontal assaults.
Two new maps are also included: Itzamna, a sky harbor featuring dynamic offensive routes for Shard Clash, and Xibalba, a mysterious cavern map for Outbreak mode.

⚫︎ Bad Guitar Studio has confirmed that FragPunk: Wild Dawn – Chapter 2 will enter Early Access on April 25, 2025. The update brings a wave of new content, including a new Lancer, fresh new limited-time game modes, a new map called Aesir
, and over 70 Shard cards to discover.

⚫︎ FragPunk has announced an upcoming event or update scheduled for April 25, teasing players with the tagline “Dex-tiny Awaits.” The announcement was made via the game’s official Twitter account, accompanied by the hashtags #FragPunk and #BreakTheRules.

⚫︎ Developer Bad Guitar Studio has announced that Fragpunk will launch for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on April 29. The free-to-play 5v5 hero shooter initially released for PC via Steam on March 6. Although the console versions were originally slated for the same day, they were delayed due to last-minute optimization needs. The upcoming release is expected to include cross-play functionality across all platforms.

⚫︎ Fragpunk rolled out a new balance update on March 18 with no server downtime. Key changes include increased overall movement speed and optimized footstep audio effects. The update also introduces weapon and Lancer ability balancing, disables the “Hide your name” option to strengthen anti-cheat measures, and resolves various gameplay and UI bugs.

⚫︎ Fragpunk developer Bad Guitar has announced a delay in the game’s console release due to “unexpected technical challenges in optimization and adaptation.” The issue was identified during compliance testing for the Xbox and PlayStation versions, prompting the team to postpone the launch to ensure a consistent experience across platforms.
As compensation, all console players will receive rewards based on engagement once the console versions go live, including in-game currencies, cosmetics, and experience boosts. Further details will be shared in future updates.
