Apex Legends Characters to Receive Final Fantasy 7-Inspired Cosmetics
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (FF7 Rebirth) has unveiled an unexpected collaboration with Apex Legends in The Game Awards. This comes after a live performance of a song from FF7 Rebirth, where they teased more footage for the highly-anticipated game. What came after was a narrated trailer by Apex Legends’ character Horizon, inspecting the Buster Sword belonging to FF7 character Cloud Strife.
The trailer reveals collaborative cosmetics for Apex Legends inspired by characters from FF7 Rebirth. They will be arriving to Apex Legends on January 9, 2024.
The initial announced cosmetics so far are as follows:
● Crypto as Cloud Strife
● Wraith as Tifa Lockhart
● Horizon as Aerith Gainsborough
The Buster Sword is most likely an Heirloom for Crypto. It is currently unknown whether Wraith and Horizon will also receive their respective FF7 Heirlooms, since they were also featured on the promotional material, but were not shown holding any. It is also currently unknown if other FF7 characters will be dropping alongside the three into the Apex Games.
