A Dark Fantasy Action RPG
Dark fantasy RPG fans are in for a treat this January 13th as developer Rebel Wolves is set to unveil more in their grand reveal for their upcoming action RPG, The Blood of Dawnwalker. It was first announced in January 2024 as simply Dawnwalker, and now its full title has just been unveiled to the public.
On January 13th, 1PM PST / 4PM EST / 10PM CET or January 14th, 6AM JST, gamers can head on over to the game’s official Twitch channel at DawnwalkerGame to be welcomed into the world of Vale Sangora, the title’s enigmatic setting with a turbulent history. The Blood of the Dawnwalker’s first-ever CGI trailer will be premiering then, as well as a glimpse of the gameplay, and the main concepts of the game.

According to the game’s official X (Twitter), The Blood of Dawnwalker will be a narrative-driven, single-player, dark fantasy action RPG set in an open world medieval Europe, and it will be the first title of a planned saga. Given its premise, the new IP is intended for mature audiences as noted in the press release.
Helmed By Former CDPR Game Director
Rebel Wolves may be a fairly new studio that was established in 2022, but its staff is anything but new. The Polish studio was founded by Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, a veteran from CD Projekt Red (CDPR) who directed the 2015 Game of the Year, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, as well as being head of production on Cyberpunk 2077. Other former CDPR employees such as creative director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, animation director Tamara Zawada, narrative director Jakub Szamalek, and art director Bartlomiej Gawel have joined Tomaszkiewicz in his company, and all have had prior experience on other CDPR titles, including The Witcher 3.
Additionally, the game will be globally published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, handling both physical retail and digital distribution of the RPG title on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox consoles. "This is another key milestone in our content development strategy for the Western market," said Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe’s VP for Business Development, Alberto Gonzalez Lorca. "By combining our strengths, we will deliver this first game of the studio to a worldwide audience. We’re excited with the universe being created by Rebel Wolves, thanks to their extremely talented team of developers, resulting in a great addition to our portfolio."
