Dying Light: The Beast Coming on August 22, 2025
Dying Light: The Beast unveiled its Gameplay Premiere Trailer during Summer Game Fest 2025, which revealed that the game will come out on August 22, 2025 for PC (Steam, Epic Games), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S. They've also announced that more information will be revealed on June 6, 2025 4:00 p.m. PT / 7:00 p.m. ET on IGN's official YouTube channel.

Announced for Summer Game Fest 2025
A couple of days before Summer Game Fest 2025, host and producer Geoff Keighley announced on Twitter (X) on June 3 that Dying Light: The Beast will showcase its gameplay premiere trailer on the event. According to him, the trailer will feature new gameplay and the reveal of the game's release date. This was confirmed by developer Techland as they retweeted his post.
The game was first revealed during Gamescom 2024, and will act as a bridge between Dying Light 1 and Dying Light 2's narrative gap rather than being the series' third mainline title. It will also see the return of the original series hero, Kyle Crane, and is positioned to be a standalone experience.
Techland shared in their Dev Blog on September 2024 that it was supposed to be a DLC for Dying Light 2, but grew too ambitious for a simple expansion. Since it was revealed, Techland has released multiple videos surrounding its development, and how the game fits in their franchise.
