Valorant Gameplay
Valorant's core gameplay revolves around its fast-paced, skill-driven gunplay and the unique abilities of its iconic heroes, known in-game as 'Agents.' Merging elements from traditional hero-shooters and more realistic shooting games like Counter-Strike, players have only one life per round across each game's 13 rounds. Winning requires completing objectives based on the game mode to secure more rounds than the opposing team.
Each agent is equipped with a set of abilities tailored to their role, whether it’s engaging enemies directly as a duelist, providing supportive fire or smoke as a controller, delivering critical information as an initiator, or guarding points and sightlines as a sentinel. Each agent also has a unique ultimate ability that charges by collecting Ultimate Orbs scattered around the map, which contribute to the ultimate charge.
What sets Valorant apart from other multiplayer shooters are its high stakes. With only one life per round, gameplay becomes faster and more strategic; a single headshot or duel can shift the balance of power and lead to point capture. The lack of respawns or agent changes mid-game emphasizes specialization over adaptability, contrasting with other titles like Overwatch, which allows hero swapping.

⚫︎ Omen, one of Valorant's playable agents, is among the game's most mysterious characters, having several previous aliases, as revealed by Fade's various character dossiers. Among other names, Omen used to be called John, Fred, Marcus, and Dimitri.
